Dynamite implosion Club Med Hotel Bermuda 2008
After many failed resurrection attempts and after sitting empty for 20 years the Club Med Hotel in St.Georges, Bermuda was imploded at 10.a.m on August 25, 2008. A new Park Hyatt Resort will be constructed on this site. (forecasted completion in 2012).
This was the first ever building implosion in Bermuda’s history Over 70 pounds of dynamite were used and the button was pressed by the Premier of Bermuda, Ewart Brown.
