Lost Yet Found. What Does It Mean? Travelers want to experience unique cultures and lifestyles. We believe there is an immense opportunity to build a brand around sharing the Bermudian way of life. We do this by showing the things Bermudians cherish. By inviting travelers to come get lost in our way of life, we know they’ll find something new about themselves. That’s what “Lost Yet Found” stands for.
Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) takes you behind the scenes of their most recent brand campaign Lost Yet Found. This award-winning campaign was a collaborative effort between BTA and their creative partners Proverb and Burnt House Productions.

A coming-of-age music and dance video that has to hit home with any Bermudian that has left the rock in search of artistic, spiritual or personal growth. Choreographed by and featuring Malachi Simmons and his dance troupe to the sound of Shakka’s 2013 hit “Sooner or Later” it begins with a home video of his parents on their wedding day, September 29, 1990. We are instantly captivated and drawn into this magical love story through their interaction on camera and the words of his bemused father as he ties his tie in final preparation before they tie the knot; “and you made me think I’m not good at thinking … because the thoughts of man are mere vanity in the sights of the most high!” Through more home-video flashes we see the couple’s idyllic Bermudian life continuing through light-hearted days of boating and dancing. But for the next generation, strange and unexpected currents are circling the sandy shores of Bermuda and they come to light in Malachi’s introspective writings. Addiction, depression, loneliness, selfishness … Laden with this personal baggage Malachi has to leave the rock in search of something more, in search of his purpose ….
10 years ago two things happened…. My dad passed away suddenly and I left my tiny home of Bermuda to pursue a career in performing arts. At 18 years of age I was on a search for identity and 10 years later I was married. Here is my journey…. M.S -Sept 20, 2021-
Love is patient Love is kind, it does not envy. It does not boast, it is not proud. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians 13 1

A sweeping tale of forbidden love, A JAZZMAN’S BLUES unspools forty years of secrets and lies soundtracked by juke joint blues in the deep South. Written, directed and produced by Academy Award honoree Tyler Perry, the film stars Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer as star-crossed lovers Bayou and Leanne alongside an ensemble cast that includes Amirah Vann, Austin Scott, Milauna Jemai Jackson, Brent Antonello, Brad Benedict, Kario Marcel, Lana Youngand Ryan Eggold. The film features an original song performed by Ruth B., songs arranged and produced by multi-Grammy winner & two-time Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard, music by Aaron Zigman and choreography by Debbie Allen.
Tyler Perry cast me exactly one year after my last job before Covid hit and production came to a standstill. He saved my spirit. In fact, I was visiting my mother in Bermuda when I had a callback with him on zoom in her living room. She hid in the closet so she wouldn’t make any noise!

LYRICS
You say you want love You say you want truth You say you want it easy You say you want proof You say you want a fire Always underneath your stove You say you want it tended To guarantee love You say you want grace You say you want absolution You say you want your mind To come up with a solution Well what do you want? Can you tell me again? ‘Cause I can’t hear nothing Through all this pain What was that you said? I’m listening hard And I want to be your confessor Under the stars You say you want peace You say you want a connection You say you wanna never Experience rejection You say you want to see the light Always shining in your eyes You say you want to see the sun Always shining in your skies You say you want an ocean Of understanding at your fingertips You say you want a sweet sweet kiss Always hanging at your lips Well what do you want… I wanna be your ship when you are tossed I wanna be the one to save you at whatever cost I wanna be the one to find you when you are lost I wanna be the one to be there when you’re crying Carry your cross But you say you want love…
