Lyrics
Daydreaming about a long weekend
A trip I know we’ll never take
I got nostalgia for all the
Memories we’ll never make
I’m just scrolling, looking through my phone
When suddenly I see your face
Someone draped under your arm
It’s another girl in my place
She got my summer
I got nothing at all
She got the right kind of love
To take you into the fall
She got my plans, got the man
With her sweet southern drawl
She got my summer
While I’m somewhere out here
Thinking you’d call
(She got my summer,
I got nothing, nothing, nothing)
Day-drinking fighting off the heat
With another round on the way
Room spinning, every time you’re in it
You do something to my brain
I wonder if you had another
Is there something more you’d say?
It’s on the tip of my tongue
But I’m afraid it might be too late
She got my summer
I got nothing at all
She got the right kind of love
To take you into the fall
She got my plans, got the man
With her sweet Southern drawl
She got my summer
While I’m somewhere out here
Thinking you’d call
OK, I got it baby
Go ahead and have your fun
Things might look different for you
When the summer heat is gone
When it gets colder and you
Need somebody to keep you warm
If you think that I’m that body
You must be misinformed
She got my summer
I got nothing at all
She got the right kind of love
To take you into the fall
She got my plans, got the man
With her sweet Southern drawl
She got my summer
While I’m somewhere out here
Thinking you’d call
She got my summer
I got nothing at all
She got the right kind of love
To take you into the fall
She got my plans, got the man
With her sweet Southern drawl
She got my summer
While I’m somewhere out here
Thinking you’d call
She got my summer
I got nothing at all
(Nothing at all)
She got my summer

Music Review: Mohawk Radio Unplugged – Bernews

Shot on location in Bermuda at the Cathedral by Method Media for The Department of Culture, “Gold (Bermudian)” celebrates the 2021 Tokyo Olympic gold medal won by Flora Duffy in the Triathlon making Bermuda the tiniest nation to ever bring home gold. This makes the second medal for the small but mighty nation marking Clarence Hill as the bronze medal winner in the 1976 games for boxing. Katura Horton Perinchief is the first female human of a darker hue to make it to the Olympics for diving with Jessica Lewis as a multi medal and gold medal winner of the Paralympics. All three hail from the British Independent Territory. This song is a celebration of Bermuda and its resilience!
