Bermuda “Lost Yet Found” Campaign – BTA Promo Video + Behind the Scenes

Lost Yet Found. What Does It Mean? Travelers want to experience unique cultures and lifestyles. We believe there is an immense opportunity to build a brand around sharing the Bermudian way of life. We do this by showing the things Bermudians cherish. By inviting travelers to come get lost in our way of life, we know they’ll find something new about themselves. That’s what “Lost Yet Found” stands for.

Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) takes you behind the scenes of their most recent brand campaign Lost Yet Found. This award-winning campaign was a collaborative effort between BTA and their creative partners Proverb and Burnt House Productions.

Malachi Simmons – Chasing Air : A Man Leaves Home In Search Of Purpose

A coming-of-age music and dance video that has to hit home with any Bermudian that has left the rock in search of artistic, spiritual or personal growth. Choreographed by and featuring Malachi Simmons and his dance troupe to the sound of Shakka’s 2013 hit “Sooner or Later” it begins with a home video of his parents on their wedding day, September 29, 1990.  We are instantly captivated and drawn into this magical love story through their interaction on camera and the words of his bemused father as he ties his tie in final preparation before they tie the knot; “and you made me think I’m not good at thinking … because the thoughts of man are mere vanity in the sights of the most high!” Through more home-video flashes we see the couple’s idyllic Bermudian life continuing through light-hearted days of boating and dancing. But for the next generation, strange and unexpected currents are circling the sandy shores of Bermuda and they come to light in Malachi’s introspective writings. Addiction, depression, loneliness, selfishness … Laden with this personal baggage Malachi has to leave the rock in search of something more, in search of his purpose ….

10 years ago two things happened…. My dad passed away suddenly and I left my tiny home of Bermuda to pursue a career in performing arts. At 18 years of age I was on a search for identity and 10 years later I was married. Here is my journey…. M.S -Sept 20, 2021-

Love is patient Love is kind, it does not envy. It does not boast, it is not proud. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. – 1 Corinthians 13 1
