Team Bermuda will be training and racing in the Great Sound before a hometown crowd as they face other youth teams from around the world in June 2017. The Red Bull Youth America’s Cup in Bermuda will take place on one-design foiling AC45 catamarans – the same boats the professionals will use in the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series events in 2015 and 2016.

Less than 24 hours into the race, Comanche is already through the Gulf Steam and pressing to break Rambler’s elapsed time record from 2012. “We’re in Champagne conditions, making 20-25 knots,” said skipper Kenny Read. The U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team won its second game in the 2014 Men’s National Training Center Invitational early Wednesday evening, defeating Bermuda 4-0 on the strength of three first-half goals and a stout defensive performance.
Sally Bassett was an enslaved mixed-race woman from Bermuda. She was declared guilty and burned at the stake in June 1730 for the attempted murder by poisoning of her slaveholder masters.
