My intent is to create an atmosphere where my listeners feel comfortable to vulnerability in hopes that they allow themselves to feel something/anything.
Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul. (Plato)
Propa (Jamel Thomas) was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in New Orleans & Bermuda.
Making music has been a part of his life since a young child but 2002 was when he began rapping. The “Hot Boyz” first CD in the late 90’s was the main inspiration for Propa’s journey. He began with lucrative freestyle battles at events that would eventually lead him to songwriting for himself and other artists.
Propa has opened for well known artists such as Mario and Mavado and at events such as Good Friday @ Horseshoe Bay, Hamilton Princess Fashion Show, Peace in The Street and Chewstick’sBeachfest and Legendary Open-Mic Jam Session.

The love you project is the love that they feel. And the love that they feel is the love that is real. And the love that is real is the love that heals. Smile for a better day, smile let the pain away …
Stalwart Sound was a concept two brothers from Bermuda had for many years before it’s actual inception. Growing up in the island of Bermuda J-Groove and Jah-Son were exposed to the whole spectrum of reggae/sound system culture from an early age and began talking about one day getting in to the sound business themselves.
Early in 2001 both time and finances allowed just that and they began the building process acquiring both equipment and dubplates. From there they had a few local dates in Bermuda but their desire was to reach a more Global audience so they began the first live internet radio show from the tiny island of Bermuda.
That radio show introduced them to their current team member and close friend DJ FRIES who still plays alongside them locally and internationally to this day.
Stalwart has toured overseas in Canada, Germany and the United States and in December 2005 they won their first local sound clash (Lord Of The Ringz) to be shortly followed by an international victory in March 2006 (Checkmate) and their first overseas win in May 2007 (Philly Link Up).
The name “Stalwart” means as Luciano says “Strong and firm and always predominant” and that is the Stalwart motto and pledge.

The musical score for the film was composed by Bermuda’s own Steve Gallant. Steve emerged onto the scene at an extremely early age in 1987 when he composed and music-directed an original musical adaptation of “The Diary of Adrian Mole” for a summer youth programme at the Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society (B.M.D.S.)Later on in his career as a freelance music composer (and after obtaining his Diploma in Media Music) he began collaborating with independent filmmakers.
Two Thousand and Eleven was a massive one for Near Future Records, (www.nearfuturerecords.com) perhaps Bermuda’s most prolific Music Production Company.
Hats off to Donald ‘Detrimental’ Robinson and Shane Woodley’s music production and recording skills which have truly raised the professionalism of the local music industry and awareness of Bermuda’s untapped talent.
