1. Module one. The BioNauts investigate the potential for using renewable energy sources in Bermuda, including solar power to cook food, boil water and generate electricity, as well as turning our waste oil into biodiesel.
2. Module two. The BioNauts learn about the Carbon cycle and, through a ‘Rot Pot’ experiment, the part it plays in ‘recycling’ organic waste into compost.
3. Module three. The BioNauts investigate the problem of oceanic plastic waste; where it comes from, what happens when it washes up on our beaches and what it does to marine life and ultimately, to humans. Featuring contributions from Mark Outerbridge of the Bermuda Turtle Project and Andrew Peters of the BIOS Environmental Quality Program
4. Module four. The BioNauts study the black rockfish, Bermuda’s largest grouper and apex predator of the island’s coral reef system. With the help of Tammy Trott from the Marine Resources Division of the Bermuda Department of Environmental Protection, the BioNauts attempt to track down the rockfish as they migrate to and from their deep water spawning sites.

Bermudians falling (jumping & diving) off the Rock!

This is a GLORIFIED FILM of cliff diving and people do get seriously injured doing this stuff …

Nonetheless great compliments to BURNTHOUSE productions for an excellently put together set of videos!
This fascinating video looks at the group of aircraft that were the first of thousands to go missing inside the mysterious Bermuda Triangle in 1945, in the BBC show of the same title.
Birth of a Trust: Our Cultural Identity” is a documentary about the history of entertainment in Bermuda seen through the eyes of many of the country’s most notable musicians. The film documents the evolution of local music scene from the big band era of the 1940s and 1950s, through the popular “Battle of the Groups” at the Rosebank in the late 60s and 70s, up to the dance hall clashes of today. It features local legends like Hubert Smith, Ghandi Burgess, Lance Hayward and Michael Curtis Clarke and highlights the accomplishments of present day artists like Ras Giorgis and now retired soundsystem “Playboy International”. The film also discusses how the music of the time reflected the social changes that were taking place at any particular point in our history; from WWII, to the volatile 60’s and 70s with the assasination of the Governor and the riots, and the 1981 general strike.

The Stand Up World Tour came to a dramatic close with the Hawaii Island Finals event, where 18-year-old phenom Kai Lenny won the event and the title of World Champion!
The Tour’s final stop took place at Honoli’i on the Big Island, in two to three foot surf. Despite great performances from Antoine Delpero and Leco Salazar, as well as Kai’s archrival of the year, Peyo Lizarazu, Kai kept his cool and went above and beyond – shredding in all four heats of the 40-man main event.
Back in February, Kai had also pocketed the first stop in the tour, at Oahu’s Sunset Beach. Kai took third in Anglet, France in the second stop. He had an off-day in Tahiti, but scored second in the tour’s fourth stop in Brazil. This week, he brought it all home to a well-deserved victory.
The goal of the Tour is the global pursuit of the world’s best in stand-up paddle surfing. That person was crowned, in an emotional close to the 2010 Stand Up World Tour. Congratulations, Kai Lenny!!!
