After humbling Premier League giants Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup, underdogs and League Two football club Bradford City Bantams are one step closer to a Wembley final after beating Premier League opponents Aston Villa 3-1 in the first leg of the semi-final.
The Bantam’s number 21 and leading scorer Nahki Wells opened the scoring in the 19th minute from inside the penalty area after finding himself all alone with the ball at his feet. He kept his head and coolly knocked the ball passed the onrushing Villa keeper!
Nahki would have actually been in an offside position without the Aston Villa defender deflecting the ball. (possibly also a handball infraction on the part of the defender)
