The John Lennon Double Fantasy Bermuda Tribute Concert was held September 21, 2012 in Bermuda’s Botanical Gardens. More than 2,000 came out to see local and international artists perform songs from Lennon’s solo years and a few Beatles’ classics. Lennon sailed to Bermuda in 1980, finding inspiration for what would be his final album, “Double Fantasy.”
Citizen scientists survey coral reefs located across the entire Bermuda lagoon. Information is collected on reef environmental conditions, the status of fish population and on the condition of sessile and mobile reef organisms such as hard corals and lobsters. By surveying again in subsequent years we hope to provide a public source of information on the condition of our vital coral reef habitats and the fishes they support. – Bermuda Bream

The Premier and Minister of National Security, the Hon. Michael H. Dunkley, JP, MP, delivered a National Address to the people of Bermuda. The Premier touched on such issues as the economy, employment, the hospitality sector and other important matters facing the Country.
Sally Bassett was an enslaved mixed-race woman from Bermuda. She was declared guilty and burned at the stake in June 1730 for the attempted murder by poisoning of her slaveholder masters. She always claimed her innocence. Her notoriety has influenced Bermudian history and cultural heritage. (click image for more info)
